Tea sure has changed over the centuries. What started as a medicinal bitter brew is now one of the most beloved beverages of all time. This is thanks to the centuries of improvements by all the best tea growers. To pay homage to the generations of those tending the tea trees, make sure your water enriches the uniqueness of each tea they produce. After all, water is over 90% of the finished tea and has a profound effect on the overall experience.

Our goal in making these mineral formulations was to optimize the flavor, fragrance and nutrition of each of our teas. We started with distilled water as it is the purest water available--no heavy metals, no pesticides and no additives whatsoever. Then we came up with just the right combination of some of the 10 different pharmaceutical/food grade minerals commonly found in tea mountain spring water. Lastly we put them into vials so that all of our customers could enjoy the benefits.

The vials are a culmination of hundreds and hundreds of tests lasting more than 6 months. What a worthwhile time it was. The fragrances are sharper and richer, the flavors are clearer and purer, and the nutrition is elevated to the top. There were some surprises as well. We never imagined our two ripe Puer teas would require completely different formulas. We were equally surprised to find the mineral combinations are hyper specific.  So please note that these vials are specifically blended to produce fantastic results in our teas and our teas only. Our Phoenix Mountain Oolong tea vial is for our Phoenix Mountain Oolong teas only. Wuyi Mountain Rock Oolongs, Tie Guan Yin and even other Phoenix Mountain Oolongs need a completely different blend. The same for our Guizhou Green Tea vial. It is great with our Guizhou green teas but Korean green teas need their own mixture of minerals.

To use Qi Fine Teas Formulated Water Series:

  1. Shake the vial well and empty the contents into a gallon of distilled or reverse osmosis water.
  2. Use water from the gallon to rinse the vial and pour back into the gallon to ensure all the minerals from the vial are inside the gallon of distilled or reverse osmosis water.
  3. Shake the gallon well and use normally for brewing the type of tea designated on the vial.

Note:  Using this water will bring out the best flavor and fragrance in our teas, but it is important to use distilled or reverse osmosis water only. Each vial is specifically formulated to be used with only one type of our tea as indicated on the vial. Enjoy!
